Today, we use UPI for every small and large payment. Payments worth thousands of rupees are processed through UPI in a matter of minutes. But sometimes, even when you have money in your account, UPI payments fail. You're left wondering where the problem lies.

You're unable to make payments through any UPI app. This could be due to the threshold limit being reached. If your account is with PNB (Punjab National Bank), the threshold limit is the reason. If you still suspect something else, you can call your bank's customer service to find out.

If the issue is the threshold limit, let's explore how to fix it.

What is the limit?
The threshold limit can vary from bank to bank. For example, if you have an account with a company, it may be different from an account with a school. If you reach the threshold limit within a year, you can no longer make UPI payments.

In a PNB account, even after reaching the threshold limit, you can withdraw Rs 5,000 each for the first three days. After three days, you won't be able to do this.

How to fix this?
If the bank is government-owned, this task can only be completed by visiting the bank.
You will need to go to the bank and get a form to increase the threshold limit.
You will also need to submit your PAN and Aadhaar along with the form.
Also, bring your passbook with you to fill in your bank details.
When will you be able to make the payment?
After submitting the form to increase the threshold limit, you will need to wait for a day or two. If a Saturday or Sunday falls in between, wait until Tuesday.
