India’s low-cost airline, IndiGo, has extended the cancellation of flights to and from Riyadh until October 31, 2026, while services to and from Jeddah, Dammam and Madinah will remain suspended until October 27, amid the evolving security situation in the region.
The airline announced the revised schedule in a travel advisory posted on X on Friday, October 23.
IndiGo had temporarily suspended flights to Riyadh from Tuesday, October 13, following reported attacks on the Saudi capital’s airport by Houthi militants.
The escalation comes amid hostilities involving the Iran-backed Houthi group and Saudi Arabia, with armed drones and missiles reportedly used in attacks.
The airline said it was closely monitoring developments and coordinating with the relevant authorities to assess the situation. It added that the safety of passengers and crew remained its highest priority.
Affected passengers are being notified through the contact details provided at the time of booking. IndiGo has advised travellers to check their flight status on its official website before proceeding to the airport.
The airline apologised for the inconvenience caused by the cancellations and thanked passengers for their patience and understanding.
