New Delhi. India's government Navratna company BEML Limited has received a huge contract worth more than ₹5,400 crore which is to the Bullet Train project. This order has been placed by National High Speed ​​Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor.

Under this contract, BEML has to supply high-speed rolling stock and undertake comprehensive maintenance for the Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Corridor. Let us tell you that this is the same corridor which is being developed as India's first bullet train project. This achievement is also important for BEML because the company is already working in many big projects to the country's modern rail network. In the same year, BEML also made a significant contribution in the construction of India's first Vande Bharat Sleeper Express. BEML had taken up the responsibility of design and development of 10 Vande Bharat Sleeper trainsets.

Let us tell you that the first Vande Bharat Sleeper service started on the Howrah–Kamakhya route in January 2026. Vande Bharat Sleeper has been developed indigenously in the country and is designed for long distance night journeys. Now with this high-speed rail order worth more than ₹5,400 crore, BEML's Rail & Metro business has got another big project. This order is also considered very important for the company in the direction of indigenous manufacturing of high-speed rail rolling stock in India.
