IND vs AFG: A 3-match T-20 series is going to be played between India and Afghanistan. BCCI has announced the Indian team on 1st September. Many players including Sanju Samson, Jasprit Bumrah have returned to Team India, while 8 players have been shown the door. These 8 players were part of the Indian team for the 3-match T20 series played against Zimbabwe. But these players have been dropped against Afghanistan.

These 8 players are out

These 8 young players were included in the Indian team against Zimbabwe. However, now the senior players have returned against Afghanistan. Therefore BCCI dropped 8 young players from the team. The names of these 8 players include fast bowlers Mayank Yadav, Prince Yadav, Yash Thakur and Ashok Sharma, while all-rounders Suryansh Shedge and Harsh Dubey have also not got a place in the team. Wicketkeeper-batsman Prabhasimran Singh and explosive batsman Rinku Singh have also not been included in the team. Rinku Singh’s name is surprising because he was a regular part of the Indian T-20 team. But he was shown the door for the T-20 series against Afghanistan.

These players returned

In the 3-match T20 series played against Zimbabwe, many players were rested, while many players were injured. But these players have returned against Afghanistan. Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh and Harshit Rana have returned. Apart from this, Akshar Pate and Varun Chakraborty have also returned among the spin bowlers. Whereas Sanju Samson, Washington Sundar and Nitish Kumar Reddy have been included in the team.

Series starts from 13th September

Afghanistan will play against Team India for the first time on Indian soil as the host nation, because Afghanistan is hosting this series. The first match will be played on 15 September, while the second match is to be played on 15 and the third match is to be played on 17 September. All the matches of the series will be played at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
