Sonbhadra/Uttar Pradesh –

Yogi government's initiative towards providing better education to the children of economically weaker and deprived sections is having a positive impact in Sonbhadra. Under the Right to Education Act (RTE), currently 1730 underprivileged children in the district are getting the opportunity of quality education in private schools.

District Magistrate Charchal Gaur said that the state government has made the process of admitting eligible children in private schools under RTE transparent and online. The result has been that the opportunities for children from economically weaker families to get education in good private schools have increased rapidly and currently 1730 underprivileged children are getting quality education. He said that the transparent system of online application, verification and lottery has played an important role in providing the right to education to the eligible children without any discrimination.

This arrangement of the government has provided the most relief to those families who, due to financial reasons, were not able to send their children to better private schools. By getting the opportunity of free education to such children through RTE, their future is getting a new direction.

The District Magistrate said that the government itself is bearing the expenses of education of underprivileged children. Under this, about Rs 7.50 crore is being paid every year to private schools in Sonbhadra as reimbursement of fees of children studying under RTE. Due to this, while children are getting quality education, private schools are also getting the reimbursement fixed by the government.

This initiative of Yogi government is being considered an important step towards social equality. Yogi government's efforts are becoming an effective means towards reducing economic inequality in the field of education and providing better opportunities to children from poor families.
