IND vs SL 2nd Test: The second test match between India and Sri Lanka is being played at the Sinhalese Cricket Stadium in Colombo. By the end of the second session, Padikkal had scored 63 runs and Rishabh Pant was unbeaten on 0. Till tea time, India scored 187 runs for 3 wickets in 52 overs.
After this Devdutt Padikkal completed his century in the third session. He completed his century by scoring 100 runs in 168 balls with the help of 10 fours. Pant got injured after scoring 3 runs in this session. His wrist got hurt and he retired hurt and returned from the field. Padikkal was also out after playing an inning of 119 runs in 193 balls with 12 fours. He was dismissed by Keshar Nuwantha.
Team India got the fifth blow in the form of Ravindra Jadeja. Jadeja was out after scoring 43 runs in 83 balls with 4 fours. After this, Saransh Jain along with Dhruv Jurel ended the day's play. By the end of the third session of the first day, India scored 302 runs for 4 wickets in 85 overs. Saransh Jain is unbeaten after scoring 4 runs with 1 fours in 5 balls. Whereas Dhruv Jurel is batting unbeaten after scoring 21 runs with 1 fours in 21 balls.
A total of three bowlers took wickets from Sri Lanka on the first day. Asitha Fernando took 3 wickets, while Lahiru Kumara and Keshar Nuwantha took 1 wicket each. Now for Sri Lanka, the bowlers will have to show their strength on the second day. Only then will they be able to get the Indian team out as soon as possible.
