The deceased have been identified as Ganapati Chakraborty, a retired teacher from Rangpur District School; his wife, Preetilata Chakraborty; his daughter, Agami Chakraborty; and their son, Priyam Chakraborty.

According to media reports, investigators stated that after the alleged murders, the suspects stayed in the house, bathed, ate dates and cucumbers from the refrigerator, and consumed ‘Yaba’ (a methamphetamine-based drug) before fleeing.

Police Detain Two Suspects

The police have detained two individuals, identified as Mugdho and Siddhartha, on suspicion of involvement in the murders. They are cousins. Rangpur Metropolitan Police Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Mabud stated that the two accessed the roof of the Chakraborty residence via a neighboring building and consumed drugs there on Thursday night.
