gorakhpur. Officers and employees of the district who did excellent work in the financial year 2025-26 of Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGA) were honored. The contribution of employees who performed well in creating Manav Divas, providing employment to rural families and ensuring timely wage payment to workers was appreciated by giving them citations and mementos.

In the felicitation ceremony, along with achieving the set goals of MNREGA, emphasis was laid on providing maximum employment to the needy families in rural areas, regular monitoring of the works and keeping the payment process timely. Officials said that the entire team working from Gram Panchayat to Development Block and District level plays an important role in the effective implementation of MNREGA.

In the same sequence, the better performance of Block Development Officer of Development Block Khajni Ramesh Shukla and his team was also appreciated. Block Development Officer Ramesh Shukla was awarded the shield for his significant contribution in effective operation of MNREGA works, generation of man days, providing employment and monitoring of schemes. Due to his respect, there was an atmosphere of enthusiasm among the employees of the development block.

To maintain quality and transparency in MNREGA works, the system of geo-tagging, mobile based monitoring and verification at various levels was effectively implemented. Employment servants, technical assistants, APOs and program officers played an important role in monitoring and verification of the work being done at the Gram Panchayat level.

At the function, officers, technical assistants, APOs, program officers and employment servants associated with various development blocks were honored for their excellent work. Officials said that MNREGA is an important scheme for providing employment to rural families and also for creating permanent assets in villages and strengthening the rural economy.

Congratulating the respected officers and employees, the District Development Officer said that team spirit and mutual coordination are very important for better implementation of MNREGA. He called for giving priority to man-day generation, timely payment and transparent functioning. Officers and employees from various development blocks of the district were present in the ceremony.
