Electronic Arts has now unveiled EA SPORTS FC 27 that they’re basically confirming the newest football entry in the franchise is coming out everywhere on September 25, 2026. Besides the date, EA also shared a first look at the cover, saying Kylian Mbappé and Jude Bellingham will appear on the Ultimate Plus Edition while pre-orders are available right now, through usual places.
They also previewed gameplay changes, promising something that’s meant for different experience levels, with more social elements, updates inside Ultimate Team, and tweaks to core gameplay systems that should matter once you actually jump in.
EA confirmed Real Madrid forward Kylian Mbappé and midfielder Jude Bellingham will be featured together on the cover for the Ultimate Plus Edition. Both are, yeah, some of the biggest global names in football, and they’re meant to represent the next wave of top-tier talent.
And of course, this keeps EA SPORTS FC’s habit of putting recognizable stars on those cover editions. Pre-orders for the Standard Edition, Ultimate Edition, and Ultimate Plus Edition are now open via participating digital storefronts, so you can grab a version before release day.
EA SPORTS FC 27 is scheduled to roll out globally on September 25, 2026. So, EA has announced EA SPORTS FC 27 in a pretty official way, and Electronic Arts says it’s launching worldwide on September 25, 2026. At the same time, they also teased who’s going to be on the main cover, because Kylian Mbappé alongside Jude Bellingham will headline the Ultimate Plus Edition cover, plus pre-orders are already live now.
One of the most notable additions EA announced for FC 27 is The Grounds. EA is calling The Grounds a new social playground, where players can mix it up, compete, and get into football-inspired activities that sit outside the usual match gameplay.

Even though the company still hasn’t laid out every single feature that will be included in the mode, it looks like this is meant to nudge EA SPORTS FC’s social side forward by giving everyone a shared online space to hang out in. More details on The Grounds are expected before launch.
Another big change is the arrival of the FUT Gallery; this new feature is intended to improve the Ultimate Team experience by offering players extra ways to display, and kind of celebrate, their squads, collections and milestones. EA hasn’t fully explained yet how FUT Gallery will work, but it seems to connect to the broader push to reshape Ultimate Team with added customization options and progression features.
Electronic Arts just said that pre-orders for EA SPORTS FC 27 are live right now, so you can finally grab one. Players will be able to pick from several editions, with the Ultimate Plus Edition showing Mbappé and Bellingham right on the cover. EA is also expected to drop more info soon, like extra pre-order bonuses, Ultimate Team rewards and early access perks, all via its official channels, before release.

EA SPORTS FC 27 is set to launch on September 25, and Electronic Arts is trying to bring out what it’s calling its most complete football experience yet. There are new things, The Grounds and FUT Gallery, plus gameplay refinements across basically all modes. It all points to the company putting more effort into both competitive football simulation and these social, more community-driven gaming moments. And about the cover
Putting Kylian Mbappé together with Jude Bellingham as the headline cover stars really shows EA’s attention to the sport’s top performers. As launch day comes closer, fans can expect more gameplay reveals, feature deep dives, and basically more detail about the editions, plus the online stuff that comes with them.
