Amaal Mallik's Allegations Against Tanishk Bagchi

Music composer Amaal Mallik has publicly criticized fellow composer Tanishk Bagchi, making serious allegations in a detailed post on X. He referred to Bagchi as "Mr. Remix & Destroyer of Originals," accusing him of plagiarism and taking credit for the work of others. Amaal claimed that Tanishk orchestrated paid campaigns against him and disparaged prominent figures in the music scene. One of his major allegations was that Tanishk allegedly obtained work on the hit song Saiyaara by falsely claiming credit for a track originally composed by Faheem Abdullah and Arsalan Nizami. This controversy arose shortly after Tanishk expressed concerns regarding unpaid royalties for the film's title track.

Amaal Mallik's Claims on Saiyaara

Amaal Mallik asserted that he would reveal Tanishk's true character and accused him of securing Saiyaara through dishonest means. He stated, "If I disclose how you acquired the film #Saiyaara and appropriated the song from Faheem Abdullah & Arsalan Nizami, you will understand. Out of respect, they will not support me." He further alleged that Tanishk invested heavily in public relations campaigns aimed at undermining him, labeling such actions as 'unmanly.' This statement followed Tanishk's claim of not receiving Rs 8 lakh in royalties for the Saiyaara title track, which Yash Raj Films denied, asserting that all contractual obligations had been met.

Mallik also warned Tanishk against remaking popular songs like Masakkali and Aashiq Banaya Aapne. He revealed that Tanishk had previously asked him to withdraw from certain projects due to financial pressures. Interestingly, Amaal mentioned that he had recommended Tanishk for the film Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya.

Amaal Mallik's Support for YRF and Criticism of Tanishk

In his post, Amaal praised Yash Raj Films for their professionalism and accused Tanishk of being ungrateful, despite the studio's support for his work. He noted that YRF was one of the easiest production houses to collaborate with and claimed that Tanishk deleted a previous post after director Mohit Suri intervened. Amaal escalated the conflict by accusing Tanishk of frequently copying songs rather than producing original content. He labeled him 'a bloody thief' and alleged that many of Tanishk's so-called original tracks were derived from Pakistani music, folk tunes, and even YouTube covers. He specifically mentioned that the Saiyaara title track was influenced by Humnawa Mere, adding that singer Jubin Nautiyal refrained from commenting due to his association with the film.

Amaal's critique extended beyond music, as he accused Tanishk of disparaging several influential industry figures in private. He claimed that Tanishk often criticized T-Series head Bhushan Kumar in private settings but never confronted him publicly due to the label's significant influence. Furthermore, Amaal alleged that Tanishk spoke negatively about Yash Raj Films while continuing to work with them. He mentioned that he had once recommended Tanishk for the recreation of 'Tamma Tamma' but no longer considered him a professional rival. Concluding his post with a warning, Amaal accused Tanishk of tarnishing the music industry's reputation and cautioned him against provoking further conflict. As of now, Tanishk Bagchi has not responded to Amaal Mallik's latest accusations.
