Colorful tutti-frutti used in cakes, ice cream, falooda and sweets are liked by everyone from children to adults. Most people believe that tutti-frutti is made from a particular fruit or candy available in the market, but actually it is prepared from a raw fruit.
If you also want to make healthy and tasty tutti-frutti at home, then it can be easily prepared with raw papaya. The special thing is that home made tutti-frutti is fresher and without much preservative as compared to the market ones.
The taste of raw papaya is mild and its texture remains hard, due to which it can be easily converted into tutti-frutti by cutting it into small pieces. This is the reason why raw papaya is traditionally used in making tutti-frutti.
First of all, peel the raw papaya and cut it into small cubes. Now boil them lightly in water so that they become a little soft.
Prepare syrup by adding sugar and water in a pan. When the syrup is ready, add papaya pieces to it and cook for a few minutes.
Now take out the papaya pieces in separate bowls and add food colors to them. If you want, you can also add some vanilla essence for different flavor.
Let these pieces dry for a few hours. After drying, your homemade tutti-frutti will be ready.
