Champions in Need of Change

In the world of WWE, several champions currently hold titles without significantly enhancing their respective divisions. Notable figures like Cody Rhodes and Becky Lynch are among those who might benefit from relinquishing their belts to rejuvenate storylines and rekindle fan engagement.

Logan Paul and Austin Theory's Tag Team Reign

Logan Paul and Austin Theory, backed by Paul Heyman, successfully captured the World Tag Team Championship from The Usos. However, their reign has not invigorated RAW's tag team division. They notably did not defend their titles at WrestleMania 42, opting instead for a six-man tag match. With the return of Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, the Street Profits appear ready to reclaim the titles and revitalize the division.

Priest and R-Truth's Transitional Reign

Champions Priest and R-Truth secured their titles by defeating the MFTs in March and have faced various teams in defense. Despite their popularity, their reign feels more like a transition. The SmackDown tag division is in need of new energy, and Fraxiom, former NXT stars, seem poised to restore credibility to the blue brand's tag scene.

Becky Lynch's Championship Status

Becky Lynch triumphed over AJ Lee at WrestleMania 42 to claim her third Women’s Intercontinental Championship. While this victory was notable, a prolonged mid-card reign may not be necessary for Lynch. The title could be better utilized to elevate emerging talents like Sol Ruca, Bayley, or Lyra Valkyria. Lynch should focus on main-event storylines or personal rivalries, allowing the championship to benefit someone else.

Cody Rhodes' Undisputed Championship

Cody Rhodes managed to retain his title against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 42, but the match did not resonate well with the audience. His third reign as Undisputed Champion has not made a strong impact, and the involvement of outside personalities like Jelly Roll and Pat McAfee has detracted from the storyline. A straightforward solution would be for Rhodes to drop the belt, allowing Randy Orton to capture his 15th world title and refresh the SmackDown main event landscape.
