According to the latest report of Meteorological Centre, Jaipur, today there is a possibility of light rain at isolated places along with thunder, strong winds in Ganganagar, Hanumangarh, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Jaipur, Alwar, Kotputli, Behror, Dausa and surrounding districts. During this period the wind speed can be 40-50Kmph. The weather is expected to remain mainly dry in most of the remaining parts.

According to the Meteorological Department, due to the effect of thunderstorms in the northern parts of the state, the temperature is likely to drop by 1-2 degrees, followed by an increase of 1 to 2 degrees in the coming days. The weather is likely to remain dry over most parts of the state on April 18 and 19. A new weak western disturbance active around April 20 may again cause thunderstorms and light rain in some areas.

Let us tell you that at present the maximum temperature in most parts is being recorded at 40-42 degrees Celsius. Even on Friday, the temperature in many districts of western Rajasthan is likely to remain between 41 to 43 degrees. Due to this, the effect of heat will be more in areas like Barmer, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Bikaner. In the last 24 hours, the highest maximum temperature recorded in Barmer was 42.9 degrees (3.2 degrees above normal).
