What is APAAR ID?

First of all let us understand what APAAR ID is. The full name of APAAR ID is Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry. Just as Aadhaar card is a unique identity card of a person, similarly it is also a kind of unique student identification number. If it is understood in simple language, then it is a digital record of the child’s education, which remains with him throughout his life. Even if the child changes school or takes admission in college, his entire academic digital record remains at one place and it becomes very easy to use it if needed in future.

This is a 12-digit ID, which is created only once for a child. This step has been taken by the government under the ‘One Nation, One Student Identity’ campaign.

How to make APAAR ID?

If you want to get your child’s APAAR ID made, then you can get it made yourself or you can get it made through the school. To get your child’s ID made yourself, go to DigiLocker website digilocker.gov.in and create an account with the help of your mobile number.

Now type APAAR in the Search Bar and then open it.

Now fill all the details asked in it and then complete the verification with the help of OTP. APAAR ID card will be generated.
