In Ahmedabad, Rajasthan Royals edged past Gujarat Titans by six runs in an Indian Premier League clash on Saturday.
Opting to bat, RR posted a competitive 210/6 on the board. Openers Yashasvi Jaiswal (55 off 36) and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi (31 off 18) gave the innings a flying start, adding 70 runs in just 38 balls for the first wicket.
Dhruv Jurel then anchored the innings with a brilliant 75 off 42 deliveries, striking four fours and five sixes to power RR to a strong total. For GT, Kagiso Rabada was the pick of the bowlers with figures of 2/42.
In reply, Sai Sudharsan fought a lone battle with a fine 73 off 44 balls, laced with nine fours and three sixes. However, a lack of support from the other end meant GT fell short in their chase of 211.
