Harrowing images show huge flames rising from a concrete mixer which caught fire in a residential street in Fife on Monday afternoon. Emergency crews raced to Admiralty Road in Rosyth after the blaze erupted at approximately 3.30pm this afternoon.


Footage from the scene shows firefighters attempting to extinguish the blaze with thick smoke billowing into the air. Fire drews were spotted wearing full protective gear. Two fire engines and a hose reel jet were deployed in the massive mission to bring the growing blaze under control.



Police Scotland and the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service both attended the scene. The fire service say crews were able to brong the blaze under control and an hour later they left the scene.


No one was injured but the cause of the fire is currently unknown. A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We got a call at 3.30pm about a vehicle fire on Admiralty Road, Rosyth on Monday, March 30.


"We mobilised two appliances and crews put the fire out with one hose reel jet. Crews left the scene at 4.34pm. There were no casualties."


The cause of the fire is not thought to be suspicious, Police Scotland confirmed they only attended the scene to assist with road closures.


A Police Scotland spokesperson added: "Officers attended the scene of a vehicle fire on Admiralty Road, Rosyth to assist with road closures. The road has since reopened. The fire was not suspicious and there were no injuries."
