The young player's recent performances have 'propelled him into the fold,' and he is reportedly 'firmly' in the club's plans for the upcoming season.

The report also suggests that Real are planning to hold discussions with Jimenez about his future, which could lead to more first-team opportunities. It's further noted that the club intends to extend his contract.

Dani Carvajalis expected to bid farewell to the La Liga titans at the end of the season, ending a 22-year stint at the Santiago Bernabeu. Alexander-Arnold is now in his second season at the club following his departure from Liverpool, with his transfer completed just weeks before his Anfield contract was set to run out.

His time at the club has been far from straightforward. Alvaro Arbeloahas reportedly informed the right-back that he's permitted to leave this summer, as he doesn't form part of the club's future plans.

Despite making his comeback from injury over the weekend, Arbeloa outlined why Real are still being cautious with Alexander-Arnold's game time.

"As for Trent, after being out for a long time, we are taking the same approach with him as we will with others returning from injury," he said.

"We are proceeding cautiously and calmly because what we want is for him to find his rhythm, his best playing form, and that's how it will be with Trent."
