Inspired by 'Sita Aur Geeta', many Bollywood films were made with double roles of male characters. These include 'Jaise Ko Taisa' released in 1973, which was directed by M. Murugan and M. Kumaran. Jeetendra was seen in a double role in the film. Rakesh Roshan made 'Kishan Kanhaiya' with Anil Kapoor in a double role, which was inspired by 'Sita Aur Geeta'. The film came in 1990. In 1997, David Dhawan brought 'Judwaa' inspired by 'Sita Aur Geeta' with Salman Khan in the lead role.
